A great stay. The room was comfortable. The hotel were very accommodating with an early check in. Food was excellent with enormous portions. Great location, on the high street with convenient parking. Service was exemplary and all the staff cheerful and keen to please.

Yes, we loved staying here for a week, and would rebook this again in a flash. Some Highpoints: our room was perfect and quiet, we slept really well. Perfect access to everything as it is the most central place in town. Always clean, tidy, hospitable. The staff goes beyond on all fronts. Karen working in the dining room gives excellent service and smiles always. And the food is phenomenal. Best breakfast ever. And some of our dinners were fabulous… There is an amazing chef in their kitchen. Highly recommended!

The Crown is a wonderful place to stay when in Glastonbury. I traveled there for a conference. The small single room I booked was very adequate. The bed was comfortable and the shower had nice water pressure. The climate control of the room was perfect. All the staff in the restaurant which is where you check in and out are very warm, friendly, and competent. I had exceptional service from Karen. I give this hotel a high rating for the level of comfort for the price of the room-a charming hotel in a very charming city..

This hotel's staff are its greatest asset who all provided outstanding friendly, helpful and prompt service. Refurbishment of a property of this age must be challenging but has been successful in providing comfortable bedrooms that are imaginatively decorated. Excellent housekeeping and we appreciated the unrequested change of towels for our second night. Breakfasts were superb. We only stayed for two nights but it felt like a week's holiday and we would have no hesitation in staying here again.

I’m a long time vegan, so very pleased with their options.The hotel pub has excellent chefs. The food is delicious.Breakfast menu selections, large portions and delicious.Everything is very clean and well staffed with very helpful and friendly people. It’s a very active community and a great location in the middle of town. I recommend you bring ear plugs as the town square is quite rowdy and very loud until midnight and even 1am. The only thing that would be really helpful would be to provide a fridge although they did put my lunch in one of their refrigerator s for the night. I wish they had some sound dampening windows. My neighbor also said the outside noise was difficult. Ear plus were very helpful.I love this place and highly recommend it. Very fun, clean and vibrant with bright friendly rooms.

We had a lovely room except for the fact that every door being closed nearby we could hear as you have to pull the room doors very hard to close them including the Adel room which we stayed in. Needs to be looked at.Staff very helpful and would stay again once the door problem is sorted out. Having two keys would also have helped because if one person goes upstairs from the restaurant or bar the other person is stuck as you need a key-card to access the guest floor.

The Crown is always my hotel of choice when staying in Glastonbury.I loved my room (Adele) which was clean & comfortable with a great panoramic view of the town.Breakfast is delicious! There are many vegetarian & vegan options, my favourite is the 'Veggie Crown' full English vegetarian breakfast consisting of poached eggs, hash browns, tomatoes, spicy chili croquettes, mushrooms, baked beans, kale & sourdough toast.Staff, including Manager Mark, are friendly & helpful.An exceptional member of staff (Karen) helped me sort out parking via an unfamiliar app. She even paid for my parking via her own app until I could link to the hote's wifi and add my bank account details to the app.She also carried my luggage up 3 flights of stairs.So, all in all, I would say for a positive experience in Glastonbury the Crown is the place to be!

I spent a night in the Amy Winehouse room and absolutely loved it. For a solo traveller, the room was very comfortable, clean and modern. I loved the view of the street.The service was also fantastic, I had a delicious meal for dinner and despite a small mishap on the order, the staff were so accommodating and got it fixed quickly.It's definitely worth it to get Bed and Breakfast because their breakfast menu is fantastic.And the location is perfect if you want to take a stroll around to the local shops and attractions.I would absolutely stay again.

This hotel is simply wonderful, cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff were lovely, attentive and highly professional. The location is ideal, in the centre of town with nearby car parks. The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped (although I didn't spend much time in my room as there's so much to do in and around Glastonbury. The bed was very comfortable with good quality linen.Now for the food...this was freshly prepared with quality ingredients. The breakfast was just divine. I was so impressed that i ate my evening meal here too. One of the best panang curries I've ever had (as I've spent time in Thailand, this was an impressive achievement).I feel I've been spoilt and other hotels now pale in comparison. 5 stars++. Can we give 6 stars?! If we could, we WOULD! As New Yorkers visiting Glastonbury for the first time, we were so grateful to the ENTIRE staff of this place - from the Management, to the Restaurant Wait Staff, to Chef Dan who took a moment to visit our table and chat about his menu! We felt incredibly welcomed to this clean, efficient and kind hotel that is PERFECTLY situated in the middle of town to walk to everything you could want to visit. Not to mentioned we got GREAT night's sleep every evening! A few highlights below:- Steve who greeted us immediately the first night, was so kind and friendly and personally showed us around, and then to our room, then the restaurant etc! Was a perfect first impression!- When the parking lot's coin payment machine had a malfunction one morning and left no way to pay for the day, Karen from behind the bar at breakfast time offered to let us use her personal phone and her parking app so we could then register OUR rental car and it's license plate number through her! That was the only way to avoid a ticket since the coin machine was down, she was so kind!- When our food at the Crown's Restaurant was so damn amazing, Steve our server and bartender asked if we'd like to meet the Chef and we said YES! So the amazing Chef Dan came took a few minutes to come from the kitchen and chat about his inspired menu - he also asked about our trip and where we were from (NYC) and just made us feel so welcomed and special.- Then of course we loved the simple smiles and moments of kindness of others who work there whose names now evade us, but everyone was so lovely.THANKS to everything, when we come back we WILL be staying at this hotel!-Eric and Justin Mendoza, August 2023

Thanks for your hospitality. The food was lovely thank you and the room was clean and comfortable. Personally I’d have liked some plumpable pillows and more of them and bath sheets instead of bath towels. Plus a larger selection of toiletries, as there was literally a tiny bottle of shampoo and shower gel. I’m used to finding a shower cap and cotton buds and due to this, I hadn’t bought either with me. The toilet brush was dirty. I didn’t sleep well because I could hear the man in the John Lennon suite snoring all night, so maybe there needs to be some kind of soundproofing between the rooms next time they are decorated and in the meantime, provide earplugs. Also Tuesday is market day, so I had the added bonus of scaffold poles being erected from about 5 am and the market traders talking loudly. Obviously not the Crowns fault just an observation forfuture visitors. Take ear plugs! I initially found this hotel on booking.com but decided to actually book through the hotel to cut out the middle man so to speak, even though the price was the same. On booking.com it describes the hotel as having parking. (On the hotel website it does state that there’s no parking) It does not have parking. When we arrived all the local carparks were full so we had to park quite a way out and walk back in with our bags, not great for anyone but worse for me as I have a disability and can’t carry heavy bags or walk far. I don’t want to put anyone off because we did enjoy our stay and the staff, who were lovely, let us check in early because fortunately our room was ready when we arrived about an hour early. I’m just letting everyone know what to expect and what to prepare for plus hopefully give the Crown owners some food for thought to improve things. We are used to staying in London hotels/which are in the most part a well thought out experience and that’s what keeps people coming back. Lastly there were no spoons or stirrers with our coffee machine- which required us to do a YouTube search in order to operate it. As a non tea of coffee drinker I’d have appreciated herbal teas and/or hot chocolate sachet as well. Again thank you for the excellent hospitality.

These guys are just fantastic. I’m normally traveling to Glastonbury every 2 to 3 months, sometimes my journeys are quiet but sometimes quite busy and hectic till the point that I don’t even have time to eat, and these past 7 days was one of those packed with work days and the staff and the manager Mark made all necessary efforts to make sure that my staying would be easy, comfortable and helpful 100% while managing a very busy pub/restaurant. 5 seconds from everywhere, right in the heart of the city and the best thing is that after 23:30pm the activities are done and you can enjoy a lovely night of sleep and rest. Never had problem with mouse in there. Definitely my heart hotel to be in. Can’t wait to come back.

Room good and very clean , thougha strong smell when we arrived which never went and a broken lamp by the bed with the switch missing. Nearly £200 these days for B and B at a pub in the middle of town. I do understand though that increased costs recently have to be passed to the customer. Had to send down for a second cup and asked for two extra pillows. Both arrived without an issue. Wasn t allowed to check in until 3pm despite arriving early. Had hoped they might agree to service our room next as we were already there but no luck. Not a problem.Highlight was the staff . Young man on the bar as we arrived and young lady who dealt with everything on her own next morning at breakfast. Both helpful , friendly and polite.Visit spoilt by only getting three hours sleep. Gang of young people , some ten to fifteen 14 year olds drinking , smoking , swearing , shouting below us at the front of the hotel from 11pm to 2pm . Police drove by. Not interested apparently .Very concerning when two of the remaining teenagers, both young girls, both apparently in a poor state due to alcohol ,were approached by two adult males. Police still busy elsewhere presumably. All very worrying. Suggest the manager of the hotel contacts the police for more support, given I am told this is a regular meeting place late at night . It came as no surprise to learn that none of the hotel staff stay on site after 11pm. We did though have a lovely stay in Glastonbury and a pleasant evening meal at the hotel the night before.

We had a lovely time staying in the crown. The decor, food and comfort has been fab. Every meal was a delight: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our room was cleaned every day and the Crown is so central in Glastonbury- it’s convenient for everywhere.Loved it.

I loved my stay at The Crown. The room was compact but well appointed, and the staff were lovely. I was also very pleased with the included breakfast options (I still recommend staying away from their version of a “full English”, but it is what it is).The bar and other food options showed that England has definitely upped its food game since my last visit many years ago. My favorite meal was the crispy pork street bowl-outstanding with a glass of the local cider.

Very comfortable stay, and the food was really good. There was a trendy vibe, with fun decor and good design.The only down side was that when the electric roman blind in the room (Dolly Parton) was fully raised, the bottom two pleats still covered part of the window because the cords had become detached.

The Crown is in the heart of city, so everything is accessible by foot.The ground floor has a lovely pub and dining space.The food was wonderful.The staff were amazing, cheerful and so helpful at every turn.I particularly want to mention this, how kind and gracious they are.My room was spacious and well appointed.The only real issues I had with the Hotel were first, the toilet seat in my room remained broken for my entire 3 night stay, even though management was alerted on my first night.It should have been repaired or replaced right away.Secondly, the outside noise!This of course is beyond the control of the hotel.But it went on past midnight, and since my room faced the square, I could not escape it. Both loud voices and music.I left the hotel quite tired.If you are a night owl, this is the place for you!If not, ask for a room more on the interior, or choose to stay a short walk outside of town center.

We paid extra for a deluxe room and it delivered. Lovely view of monument and centre of Glastonbury and also the Tor! Beds comfortable, facilities great. We also booked a standard double room for a lone adult. This was smaller but cosy with the same standard of facilities. We ate at the Crown too. Food was excellent as was the breakfast! We both really enjoyed our stay but unfortunately a commercial extraction fan ran all night. I was OK as I had ear plugs but my husband got very little sleep as he said it was like trying to sleep on a plane! The room, staff and breakfast were great.

We very much enjoyed our stay at The Crown Hotel. The room was nice and the hotel's location was prime for access to everything we wanted to do in Glastonbury. It can be a bit noisy late at night due to pub crowds, so that's something to be aware of. But the friendliness of the staff and the amazing included breakfast set this hotel more than made up for that. This ended up being one of the top places we stayed during our vacation.

We arrived fairly late, but just in time for dinner, which was delicious, definitely recommend the Pad Thai.There was also a great vegan option for one member of the party.The staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble, very friendly and helpful. We arrived in Glastonbury to visit the Tor, the Abby, and the Chalice Springs both the White and Red springs. The Crown is located in a very good location. The L section of Glastonbury. Everything is near it. The Abby a half block away, Post office 2 blocks away (this is where we shipped our boxful of purchases we shopped to get including a cape made by Jan's shop lined and clipped with pockets on the inside)We were very fortunate to have 2 sunny day and the locals came out to join together at "The Crown". They serve coffee and tea or lunches and dinner to those who don't stay at the hotel. We learned a lot a about Glastonbury history and a beautiful lady said that she had spent time in Hawaii, where we are from, with a homesteader that is native to the islands.The Crown's beautiful rooms. We stayed in the deluxe room, Bruce Springsteen, the view from the windows are perfection of the town. We sat in their lovely chairs and drank wine and spirits as we watched the town go by. Alex, took very good care of any requests or questions that we had. If you don't mind climbing stairs to get to the deluxe room just consider what you will reach at the top of those stairs. Magic galore and premium relaxation. Much Aloha to "The Crown" for a wonderful stay to those who arrived for the first time. We will return sometime to this magical place. The food was amazing superb.

I was with a friend and we had separate rooms. We asked to change one of the rooms upon checking in as the curtains did not pull up making the room very dark. Rooms were clean, recently upgraded, comfortable bed and all amenities supplied.Alex the assistant manager was especially friendly and helpful our whole stay, as was the manager the two evenings we met him. All staff very pleasant and competent. Excellent food. Great location and parking nearby not too much of a hassle.

Like the hotel and especially the staff behind the bar. Breakfast is good, just a little strange that you don’t get a free refill. The rooms are clean. A point of attention we were sleeping in the Elton John room was the constant notice of a ventilator.

I'd stayed for two nights in the Bruce Springsteen room at the Crown Inn and loved it. This is a beautiful building, and the room was gorgeous. The bed was comfortable and the shower was outstanding. Each member of staff was helpful, friendly and efficient, and I felt like my custom was valued. I felt extremely safe, too - the door up to the rooms requires a passkey to open it, so I was assured that only members of staff/fellow patrons could access those upper levels. The breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. I can't recommend the Crown Hotel enough, and will certainly be returning as soon as I can! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Arrived at the hotel on Monday and on the first night there was a bit of a technical issue which I reported the staff. The next day I was moved to another room( no questions asked) and I was really really happy with the outcome. The staff here were so lovely, great hospitality and always willing to help in every way. The Crown is a truly unique and lovely spot to stay while in Glastonbury, or to pop in for a hearty & healthy breakfast, beautiful and laid back fine-dining, or for cocktail hour. I can’t recommended this place highly enough! The staff were so accommodating and made me feel very welcome this was especially nice as I was travelling alone. The food is exceptional and I enjoyed the breakfast and evening meals they had on offer. There is such lovely feel to this hotel and it was nice that they refreshed the room daily with new towels and water and things. The room staff were very pleasant also! What can I say visited glastonbury 3 couples to bring in the new Yr we had such a good stay on new years eve that we decided to stay new yrs day kieren the manager and is staff couldn't do enough for us the food in the restaurant 1st class we stayed in the dolly Parton room bed was so comfy I nearly missed breakfast both days we wil be definitely goin back to glastonbury and wil definitely be staying in the crown hotel thank u for a unforgettable stay

Thank you to all at The Crown. I had a great experience here from the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out. My room (Amy Winehouse) was small but very cozy and comfortable with a lovely view. Despite it being a chilly weekend in Glastonbury, my room was warm with plenty of hot water. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room and plenty of storage for a four night stay. Breakfast was included and was totally fabulous, filling me up way past lunch time. I had dinner at the hotel as part of a large group on Saturday night, and both the food and service was exceptional. It was an brilliant stay and I can't wait to head back!

The Hotel personnel are very kind and professional, the food is delicious, the beds are super comfy, the rooms are clean and well equipped. We had a lovely stay in the Crown. We stayed in the Bob Marley room. It was a nice, clean comfortable room, with a generous sized bathroom. It had plenty of windows and light, but no view to speak of, due to it being at the back of the property. The bed and pillows were great.The bar downstairs was lovely - very friendly bar staff, seriously good food, amazing breakfast, and great cocktails and wine. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

The Crown is *the* place to stay if you're visiting Glastonbury. At the foot of the High Street and directly in front of the marketplace, you're perfectly situated to enjoy this beautiful medieval town.Recently refurbished to a high standard, the bedrooms are quietly comfortable and understated, with new bathrooms, showers, carpets, paintwork etc.The staff are amazingly friendly, helpful and professional. Nothing, it seems is too much bother for them and they are truly the icing on the cake.The food is varied and delicious, from the Full Monty breakfast to the excellent Pad Thai and Massuman curried lamb shank. You really won't leave your table still hungry.All in all, a most excellent place to stay.Thank you Crown.

Kitchen was closed for the evening so can't comment on dinner but the breakfast was the best ever we have eating in UK. Outstanding!Will use the Crown when we return to Glastonbury.

My wife and myself had a wonderful one night stay at the Crown Hotel. Ciaran, who greeted us on arrival was polite, courteous, and explained every thing that was relevant to our stay. He supplied us with our digital entry card upon which he attached the internet details and his mobile phone number in case we had any problems, we thought that was a really nice touch. We had the Springsteen room which probably has one of the best high street views in Glastonbury. It was warm, spacious and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was fabulous, our waitress was pleasant cheerful and very accommodating. We chose the full English which was cooked to perfection. It made a nice change to be offered a barista quality cappuccino, as an alternative to a freshly brewed coffee, Would we stay again?of course we would.

Apparently this was a former run down hostel but the owners have done a great refurb and the rooms are now top quality - each named after a famous musician. I was in the Bob Marley room - very comfortable bed but only views of roofs from the windows but being a listed building they were constrained as what they could change. Similar refurb of the bar area and lounges - all top quality with good food and attentive staff. Highly recommended.

Thankyou ALL so very much we had a wonderful weekend two weeks ago now and feel well rested and inspired. What a beautiful hotel you have made this into! We arrived in glorious sunshine so sat outside and watched the action packed world in the square. Next day it poured with rain so we sat in the warm and cosy lounge, reading the papers and chatting to locals and other guests. Later we hit the town and enjoyed several nearby music sessions /events.Lots of fun, fantastic food, service, comfortable and well equipped room, perfect location. If it hadn't have been fir my husband's snoring, I would have had the best nights sleep as the bed was so comfortable.The rooms were tastefully decorated- and the en suite felt very luxurious. I have stayed at The Crown several times now over the last 2 months and it has become like home from home. Manager and staff are all friendly and welcoming. Thanks to the chef for my brekkies and to Chelsea (mainly) for serving it, and our little chats. Rooms overlooking the monument are a bonus,free entertainment thrown in.

We absolutely loved The Crown Hotel. The location was brilliant, our room: TheBruce Springsteen, was really comfortable, with a great view and beautifully decorated in subtle shades. The staff were without exception warm and welcoming. The food was a fabulous fusion of Asian and traditional dishes, with a wonderfully creative selection of vegan and vegetarian options. We were so sad to go! But if ever we decide to come back over to Glastonbury this is certainly the place to stay. Big hugs to all of you!

The owners and the staff at the hotel were super friendly and helpful with local advice, we felt really welcomed. The John Lennon room was cosy but spotless and a beautiful ombience of peacefulness with lovely deco. Would say if you are disabled the stairs are a bit of a challenge as quite steep and narrow in parts, and the bed was quite high so people with mobility issues may find it hard, however there may be rooms on lower floors?We couldn't ask for more for breakfast, healthy options and interesting alternatives were available and all very tasty.I would recommend this as an excellent base to explore Glastonbury, with some great restaurtants, and shops within walking distance as well as the Abbey just next door virtually.The pub was nice in the evening and also does food if you don't want to go too far.The transport is very good as well into Wells or Bristol and to the Chalice Well which is well work a visit for it's beautiful restful gardens.

We booked one night at the Crown, just for a treat. Ciaran, the manager, took us to the Bruce Springsteen room which was gorgeous.There was a huge window looking right into the centre of town, an enormous comfy bed and a beautiful bathroom. We ate downstairs in the evening,choosing a range from the "small plates" menu which was absolutely delicious. We spent a while sitting at the front of the hotel watching the world go by with a few drinks, really taking in the unique vibe of Glastonbury (by the time the barman said that he would fetch the card reader, I fully expected someone coming out with a deck of Tarot cards!) before taking a bottle of wine up to our room to continue watching in our much comfier chairs! Lovely hotel, lovely staff. It is noisy in the evening, but that's the price you pay for being in the centre of town.

What a brilliant place the Crown is. Our room (Adele) was incredibly clean and spacious. The complimentary tea, coffee and water was very well recieved. The staff are very accommodating and caring for their guests. Chelsea could not do enough to make our stay more enjoyable, she is a credit to the Crown, not only supporting the residence, but having a very kind and friendly disposition to everyone who walks through the door.Breakfast was plentiful and tasty.Cerian and Alex were incredibly accommodating, and adaptable to our family needs, and I would like to thank them very much. All the staff, the accommodation and food were above expectation and I cannot recommend enough. We are looking forward to staying with you again.

Myself and wife stayed for 1 night in the Bruce Springsteen room beautiful spacious room with a great view looking out at Glastonbury town. Nice powerful shower and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious (crown breakfast) fully recommended this hotel. No faults only advice would be to maybe have some evening entertainment as had to go to another venue to listen to a fab guitarist and singer (Jamie M)

We were all mightily impressed with this little gem of a hotel which boasts amazingly friendly staff creating a relaxing convivial atmosphere. The very old building has been well renovated....even the pipes in the toilets had been painted before being attached to the walls, showing the attention to detail applied to this building. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable and the food was just perfect for us, if a rather eclectic fusion. (not at all sure about the 'eton mess' style of the stack of chips meal, though my friend ate it all)

Hi Mike,Loved reading your review, and in particular your overall description of the Crown as a \'little gem\'.It\'s what we have been striving to create since we started the refurbishment last year, so it\'s great to get those comments.Just got to keep delivering that to all our guests, every day - no pressure then!

My wife and I immediately oved the hotel- it’s general ambience, the location and the welcoming staff. Our room was tastefully decorated, the bed was very comfortable and well equipped. An excellent breakfast the following morning completed a very satisfactory stay.However:The hospitality tray was very disappointing. Look at Alexi Politzi’s recent comments about how significant hospitality trays are they need to be generous, extravagant and clear statement of you importance as a customer. The one in our bedroom was more like a Travelodge tray than an expensive hotel - no nice biscuits, four milk sachets (why not a jug of milk and a bowl of sugar?) and, astonishingly, no tea bags!The bathroom fan didn’t seem to work so the mirror was completely listed up,the bath towels were less than luxurious and we had to share the little bottle of shampoo and the small bar of soap.So excellent overall but we were generally left with the impression that corners are being cut to the detriment of the overall experience.

We stayed late jul 2021 and had a lovely time. The team were super welcoming as we arrived and very friendly as they showed us to our room. The room was spotlessly clean, really comfortable and well appointed.Breakfast was superb. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

We recently stayed for 2 nights at The Crown Hotel. The hotel is in a great position in the center of town, perfect for people watching. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The food was awesome, the Sunday lunch was very tasty and there was lots of choice for breakfast which was also delicious. The staff, Kieron and the team were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be returning again soon. So relaxing.

We stayed two nights in the Crown. The hotel looks wonderful and clean but it had only recently opened after refurb. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We met friends who lived in Glastonbury and also visited us for a meal and a drink. They never realised they had such a great place on their doorstep. The food was excellent. Be aware that there is no parking but there are nearby carparks and residential parking not too far away.

Only stayed the one night but it was made all the better by lovely staff who could not have been more helpful and the room was gorgeous and brand new.Would stay again and highly recommend.

Staff are friendly. The room itself Was clean and should have been great but noisy as we had to open our window because it was hot. We were provided a fan though. Nice breakfast.

I stayed for 2 nights. The room was good and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. I can't fault them at all. The asian side of the menu is also to be recommended, with a Thai chef in the kitchen. The pad thai was superb. My only slight negative would have been breakfast. While there are plenty of hot cooked dishes on offer, there was no muesli/ yoghurt/ fruit/ toast and jam available. In the summer, sometimes thats all you need!

I stayed at the Crown in Glastonbury for a few days to join some friends on a short break.The hotel has undergone some serious restoration so everything looks new, tasteful and clean.I had the single Amy Winehouse room which suited my requirements perfectly.The bed was beautifully comfortable with luxurious cotton sheets. They have obviously thought carefully about the quality of their linen and towels which was appreciated.As it was hot and I had to open the window, there was some noise from the interesting folk outside at night but I got used to this; it's all part of the Glastonbury experience.The staff were super friendly and helpful and the breakfasts wonderful.There was a choice of freshly cooked breakfasts above and beyond the standard English fare.Eggs Royale were delicious.I ate in the hotel in the evenings as again, the food was of a very high quality, offering a range of vegetarian, vegan and meat dishes.All in all, a great stay at the hotel.I wish them lots of luck.

I had an excellent night's stay at The Crown. I stayed in the Elfon John room and had the most fabulous sleep - the beds are all brand new and you can really feel the quality. Beautifully decorated. It was peaceful too and the power shower was delightful. I cpuldnt find fault.If you want a decent glass of wine or a cocktail this is the place to go and unlike most other places in glasto (I hate to say it) but the service behind thd bar is excellent, friendly and polite. It's a total revelation for glasto!Food is fab, having had three breakfasts here so far. I really can recommend the Halloumi Hash - it's lush. The English breaky's are great too - local and good quality produce.

Stayed in the Springsteen de luxe room for one night.First impressions were very positive - the Crown has been extensively refurbished with great style. Ciaran (with a C!) showed us to our room, which was big, bright and very comfortable. The room overlooks the centre of Glastonbury, with terrific views beyond - the perfect place for people watching, always interesting in Glasto.We dined in the hotel and the food, and menu choice, were excellent. Good portions too. Most convivial surroundings, so we sampled a few cocktails from their yummy cocktail list. There's a really good atmosphere in the place, it's very easy to relax, chill, and maybe have one too many!The Crown is, by some distance, the best place to stay, drink and dine in Glastonbury. Stayed in the Crown for one night last week.It was fantastic, a real gem of a place to stay, drink and dine.Gorgeous place, great atmosphere, terrific staff - definitely the must go to place in Glastonbury.Food and cocktails were spot on. Tip - eggs royale for brekkie, duck for dins.I've been visiting Glastonbury for years, and have been lamenting the lack of a decent venue for all that time. No longer.

The Crown as undergone substantial renovation and has been completed to a very high standard. We stayed in the 'John Lennon' room which looked as though it had just been finished. Everything was spotless. The Double bed was surprisingly comfortable and the Bathroom was perfect. Great choice of showers.The staff were at all times friendly, efficient and professional.We had Dinner from a great choice menu ... had a selection of perfectly prepared Oriental themed 'small bites' which I cannot recommend more highly.The Full English 'Crown breakfast' was perfect.We really enjoyed our stay and having travelled extensively we can be quite critical if something falls short of expectations.On this occasion we gave the Crown a well deserved 10/10.

Received a very warm welcome by Kieran who showed us our room with a very comprehensive explanation of how everything works and his mobile number should we need anything out of hours.Lovely room and very clean. We were a little surprised to hear that breakfast on a Sunday finished at 10am when Monday - Saturday was 10.30, I would have thought most people would prefer a later breakfast on a Sunday! Apparently this was because the chef needed to prepare for Sunday lunch! The staff at breakfast were lovely but service was a little slow but I got the impression they were new and still learning the ropes. We were also told that they couldn’t do scrambled eggs on a Sunday as the chef didn’t have enough pans to scrambled eggs as he was preparing Sunday lunch and could only do poached or fried, we found this a little strange, maybe we could buy him some extra pans! However, breakfast itself was good, could have done with options of cereals, pastries, butter, jam & marmalade if you didn’t want anything heavy. Staff all very lovely but as I said seem to still be trying to get the hang of things.

Wonderful hotel, very friendly staff especially the manager Kieron. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back soon. Lovely large room, very clean, it was a pleasure to stay here definitely the best hotel in Glastonbury that I have stayed in. Thank you very much.
